one foot ollie
For a one foot ollie (a.k.a. „ollie north“ to Tony Hawk’s computerboarders…) your front foot slides over the nose, gets stretched away and put back on the board. You will need a solid ollie that flattens out quickly, so practice that first.
- Ride at moderate speed.
- Place your front foot halfway on the front screws.
- Place your back foot in the middle of the tail to get good pop but maintain a bit of looseness.
- Shift your body weight towards the back foot.
- Bend your knees and pop the ollie.
- As you pull the ollie slide the ball of your front foot up the griptape exactly between the front bolts to prevent the board from flipping.
- As the board flattens at the highest point of your ollie, slide your front foot over the nose and tap it away at a slight downward angle.
- Loop your front foot out, then up and return it to the front bolts before landing.
- Land with your feet on the bolts, roll away and smile.
